The Mary Winspear Centre invites you to celebrate our cultural mosaic. Explore Canada's rich ethnic heritage by sampling "Sweets from Around the World". Then wander through "Voice & Place: Culture, Community, and Belonging" - a photography exhibit created by 23 newcomers to the region sponsored by the Inter-cultural Society of Victoria. After intensive training in photojournalism with local photographer Quinton Gordon, each participant worked through these core themes: Friends & Family, Community, Fears, and Hopes & Dreams. Through these themes, the photographers examined their individual experience and sense of place in the community which they shared through these photographs.
