Movie Nights at the Museum: "Minoru: Memory of Exile" and "Sleeping Tigers: The Asahi Baseball Story"

On October 22nd we will be looking at the internment of Japanese Canadians and their forcible uprooting from B.C’s coast in two films.
"Minoru: Memory of Exile" is the story of the filmmaker’s father, Minoru Fukushima, and his experience during internment and his expulsion afterwards to Japan.
"Sleeping Tigers: The Asahi Baseball Story" is a documentary following the legendary Asahi baseball team who prior to World War II had been unbeatable and the stories of the players during internment.
The screening will start at 7:00pm at the Sidney Museum, 2423 Beacon Avenue, Lower Level. Admission is by donation.
