This feature by director Michael McGowan (ONE WEEK, a MM fave ) filmed in the New Brunswick is an exquisitely crafted and deeply affecting love story about a couple in their twilight years. Based on true events and laced with wry humor, Still Mine tells the heartfelt tale of Craig Morrison (James Cromwell), who comes up against the system when he sets out to build a more suitable house for his ailing wife Irene (Geneviève Bujold). About Movie Monday Insights Series:
In this new series, from Movie Monday curator Bruce Saunders, films are the catalyst for learning. This season we’re focusing on the emotional and practical challenges for family and caregivers of people who are experiencing dementia, Alzheimers, and issues that come with aging.
The course is meant to be both entertaining and informative. We’ll have some local resource people as guests. Dialogue amongst participants is encouraged. A certificate of attendance will be provided for applicable continuing education credit programs.
The cost will be $32.50 for the whole series - or $8 at the door for individual events. All sessions at 7:00 pm, approximately 2 hour and 15 minuts at the Eric Martin Theatre - south entrance 1900 Block Fort Street.
