Do you want to improve your memory?

Join Lana Ozen, Ph.D., to learn:
1. What memory is and factors that affect it
2. Normal memory changes that come with age
3. Research-based strategies to improve your memory

This 5-week course includes your workbook, certified instructor-led sessions, and light refreshments.

$100 for the general public

About Lana Ozen


Lana works in the Recreation Department at Avenir Memory Care at Nanaimo. She has a Ph. D. in Psychology (Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience) from the University of Waterloo and was a researcher at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay for four years. Her research focused on enhancing the quality of life in dementia and healthy ageing populations and was funded by the Alzheimer's Society of Canada and the Canadian Frailty Network. Lana has a passion for translating evidence-informed research into daily practice to improve the lives of members of the community. She has previously delivered the Memory & Aging Program at the Centre for Research and Education on Aging and Health at Lakeside University with success and is excited to introduce it here in Nanaimo!
