Medicinal Tea Gardens Workshop

Come learn how to plant and use a medicinal tea garden to have access to healing at home throughout the year. This course will include an introduction to a collection of medicinal plants that can be used to ease stomach upset, calm unsettled nerves, encourage sleep, modulate the immune system for viral infections and more.
In this workshop we will cover:
-how to create the optimal conditions for medicinals including soil, sunlight exposure, nutrience and watering.
-How to tend your garden, harvest, dry and process the medicinals to stock a small home apothecary.
-A brief over view of the plants medicinal properties and how to use them for health to treat yourself and loved ones.
Presenter Bio: Rebecca Singer is a Medical Herbalist, combining modern scientific understanding of herbs and health with the traditional knowledge of healing. Rebecca has been working with plants as an avid gardener, artist, and educator for the past fifteen years. She is especially interested in the co-evolutionary relationship we have with plants, sustainable practices, and the places that art and healing intersect. Having recently moved from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast she has been enjoying exploring this lush new landscape of medicinal plants.
