Age Friendly Nanaimo is a group of volunteers committed to identifying barriers and opening possibilities for quality living. Let's Talk Psychedelics is an introduction to psychedelic medicines - the renaissance, research, and information. Western research from the 1940's stalled in the 1960's when many psychedelics were listed as controlled substances. In 1999 clinical research restarted. Today there are many research projects including through VIU.

Learn about what psychedelics have to offer, especially for seniors. Research primarily focuses on mental health including treatment for treatment resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety and a variety of other human issues related to brain patterns and conditioning, as well as existential angst at the end of life.

There is a wide range of academic research, as well as practical experiences available published about psychedelic medicines, client results and the process; all in mainstream media. What questions do you have?
