Learn to Harvest: From Farm to Table
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Many people have lost their connection with their food, not having the time to plant a garden and experience the joys of harvesting. This is an important learning experience for both adults and children and will leave you with an added appreciation of how food is grown. We guarantee that it will taste better from farm to plate!
Some of the crops available for harvest include carrots, squash, tomatoes, basil, beets, kale, collards, broccoli, chard, radishes, arugula, herbs, apples, pears, grapes…
At 12pm Barbara will be sharing a checklist for successful winter planting.
We will also have a transplant sale of selected varieties of winter vegetables - all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps you will find a favourite that you’d like to plant at home in your garden!
Please bring closed in shoes, a hat and water-bottle. Note: All produce you harvest will need to be purchased afterwards!
We hope to see you soon.
