What is Stroke?

Elvira Summers RN CRN (C) � IORP

Elvira is a Registered nurse with experience in acute stroke nursing at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, as well as rehabilitation nursing at NRGH since 2000. A year and a half ago, she joined the Intensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program and has made it her mission to help people understand stroke better, and assist those in her care to make lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health and prevent further strokes.

Barb Zimmerman OT- IORP

Barb is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of Alberta in 1997. She has worked at VIHA for the past 4 years at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Currently she is working in the Intensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program.

What you should know about skin cancers.

Dr. Gabriele Weichert

Dr. Weichert is a Dermatologist in Nanaimo BC specializing in medical and surgical skin problems. She is a graduate of University of British Columbia Dermatology residency training program and attended McMaster University Medical School. She has a PhD in medical research from the University of British Columbia.
