Knox’s Healing Ministry Sponsors CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER~ A Workshop To Renew Anyone In A Caregiving Capacity.

If you are a caregiver in any capacity, this workshop is for you! Whether this is your profession or you are caring for family members or friends, from time to time, you can begin to experience what is known as caregiver depletion.

This workshop will help you recognize the symptoms and provide you with tools to address your own situation. This will translate into better care for those you care for! Caregivers provide care, compassion, understanding, presence, dependability and dedication for those receiving care.  However, while these traits may be the focal point for the recipient, beneath the surface, caregivers often provide for others while struggling with states of depletion.  Traditionally, depletion is known to emerge as fatigue, exhaustion, and burnout, and often sneaks up unannounced.  However, depletion may show up in more subtle ways such as moments of intolerance, being unable to say no, sleeplessness and excessive worry.

This workshop will provide an understanding and recognition of the symptoms of caregiver depletion.  Recognizing when depletion is active in caregiving situations and addressing it, gives the caregiver the potential to retain a fullness of energy and well-being.  It will enhance your ability to listen, discern and decide upon the best form of care or service available.  This ensures reliability and, in turn, creates a deep sense of safety and trust from those in their care.  Essentially, care of the caregiver translates into better care for those you care for. This workshop will be beneficial to anyone in a position of catering to the needs of others – parents, teachers, health practitioners, or for those who care for individuals with disabilities or challenges and sick pets.

FACILITATOR PIETRO ABELA – Bio Pietro Abela is the visionary and founder of The ARC (A Return to Consciousness) Institute, and the creator of BodySpeak. He has been an ARC Practitioner since 1990 enjoying a full practice with an extensive waiting list for the last twenty-seven years. Pietro is also a distinguished teacher, mentor and workshop leader and writer. Pietro’s studies and research on stress, emotional issues and their connections to physical well-being led him to development of ARC’s powerful self-healing methods. His creation of BodySpeak, an 8-step dialogue technique and creative communications process became an important addition to the support of physical and emotional well-being. BodySpeak’s communication tools are currently being used effectively in school and college teaching programs, health-care facilities, business management, counselling professions, senior care, parenting and personal relationships.
