There are so many reasons to choose different styles of cutting up your food. Your own personal preference being key, but beyond that the size and shape you cut your food into helps feature the flavor of one ingredient over another, gives each ingredient a different texture as well as determines how long it will take to cook. When you develop your knife skills you will feel more comfortable using the most important tool in your kitchen, other than your own hands. We will go over how to make certain cuts, the importance of keeping you knife sharp and most importantly how to handle a knife safely.
