John ODonohue The Four Elements; An exploration with Denis Donnelly
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
How can we be fully human on an Earth of Elements? That is the question which guided John O’Donohue through much of his life. Among the first works that theologian and poet, John O’Donohue, ever published were four slim volumes exploring the relationship of humans to the elements that make up the Earth we live on. Although these were published in 1995, the wisdom expressed in these books, drawn from deep springs of Celtic tradition and thought, continued to infuse everything he wrote from then on until his untimely death in 2008. Our workshop animator, Denis has had the good fortune to walk with John many times through the mountains and valleys of Ireland’s Counties Clare and Galway, and to hear him speak of his thoughts and feelings of the land he loved.
On this day of music, poetry, talk, and personal introspection, we will explore the legacy that John left us, and we will consider O’Donohue’s ultimate question on the connection of humans and the earth of elements. Tuition Rates: Residential $180: includes overnight, three meals and two snacks Commuter $104: includes lunch and 2 snacks
