Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year (Gregorian calendar) in the Scottish manner.
To kick of your New Year�s Eve celebrations, join us for a �Happy Hour� with live music by Cookeilidh, followed by a seated Scottish Whisky tasting.
Dr. Graeme Macaloney, PEng.,FIChemE, of the newly formed MacMHAOL-ONFHAIDH (Macaloney) Brewers & Distillers for a guided tour of whisky varieties. Graeme is an ex-pat Scot and fermentation engineer, with three degrees in fermentation / bioprocess engineering from the top Scottish & UK universities and is trained in fermentation management. (So you will be in good hands.)
NOTE: The Whisky tasting will take place in the dance hall, which is located on the 4th floor. There is no elevator, so this event is not recommended for those with mobility issues.
**Designated drivers can tour the castle at regular admission prices and tickets will be available at the door.**
