Herbal First Aid Workshop (Ages 9-11)

This workshop for kids ages 9-11 will teach participants how to use plants from the garden to nurture their bodies.
We will use hands-on learning to familiarize ourselves with gentle healing herbs and learn about how to prepare them for medicinal use. Once the participants have gotten acquainted with the plants and preparations, they will mix up batches of comfrey salve to ease scrapes, rosemary vinegar tincture to aid digestion, and ginger syrup to soothe stomach aches.
Each participant will leave with samples of salve, tincture and syrup, as well as recipes to recreate their concoctions at home.
