As Aristotle said, all seek happiness, never as a means to someting else but always as an end. If it is so universal, why is happiness so elusive? Why do parents and their children often feel like they are so unhappy? Are we missing something? How are the ancient and modern views of happiness related? From a modern perspective how are discipline, self-esteem and resilience connected? How does technology and social media relate to happiness?

Come join Dr. Tim Lau as he explores what happiness is, how to find happiness and how to help your children flourish. Dr. Lau will share a prescription for happiness in parenting that he has learned from his own children as well as years of counseling patients. 

Dr. Tim Lau is a sought-after speaker in the area of "Happiness" speaking at national, provincial and local conferences. He is the founding President of the Canadian Federation of Catholic Physicians' Societies; together with his wife, he is part of Family Enrichment Ottawa and the International Federation for Family Develpoment and coordinates couples and parenting courses. He is a husband and father to six children.
