Holotropic Breathwork™ uses sustained deep breathing and an exquisite musical soundscape to evoke trance states for healing and transformation. This form of deep experiential work was developed by Dr Stan and Christina Grof -- pioneers of consciousness research and authors of numerous books (http://www.holotropic.com/). It is a time tested and natural approach to achieve non-ordinary states of consciousness. Once trance states are reached, what the Grofs call an ‘inner healer’ (and others may call the soul, the vortex, universal healing wisdom or source energy) guides the process from within. The main role of the facilitator is to create the safe container for the work and be a midwife to what emerges.

Presented by Carolyn Green, PhD and Grof Certified Facilitator. Carolyn started her own breathwork journey in 1993. She has also worked as a physical therapist, researcher and educator. In 1999 Carolyn completed the two-year Grof Training program and joined the Association of Holotropic Breathwork International (ABHI).
