Fiddelium is off to Whitehorse for the 2019 Sourdough Rendezvous!
Nanaimo's young fiddlers have been invited to perform at this wonderful festival in the dead of the Yukon winter, and we are so excited for them. But ..... a trip like this costs money.
What better way to raise funds than to share the amazing talents of the performers themselves? Fiddelium and Junior Fiddelium will present an hour-long show of exciting music drawn from global fiddle traditions. The show features everything from a traditional Scottish strathspey to a 1960s jazz number.
If you are not familiar with Fiddelium, this is a pre-professional string ensemble playing at a very polished level. Each spring they present a full-length show at the Port Theatre which has sold out each and every year. They are a group of young people that Nanaimo should be very very proud of!
