Set against the beautiful backdrop of Innisfree Farm & Botanic Garden, Chef Joseph Forest invites you to join him in the farm's commercial kitchen as he shares his skill and knowledge of Fermentation. Discover why this traditional method of food preservation is experiencing a revival today. Learn how to make your own cost-effective ferments and how they can boost your immune system and benefit your mental health. The workshop runs from 6pm to 9pm, Wednesday Sept. 22 and includes theory, chef demonstrations, ferment tasting and making your own one-quart fermented pickles or sauerkraut to take home. The cost is $65.00 per person and the deadline to register is Noon on Tuesday, Sept. 21, so act quickly as the class is limited to 12 people.
