Father's Day weekend Gourmet Picnic and Vineyard Tour. Fri, Sat, Sun. Sample local cheeses and wine at three vineyards. Venturi Schulze, Blue Grouse, and Averill Creek. Following this enjoy a visit to The Raptors Birds of Prey Center. See baby barn owls, observe an amazing falcon flight demonstration. Departing from and returning to Hilary's Cheese/Wine Bar in Cowichan Bay-or feel free to meet us at our first stop,Venturi Schulze. At V.Schulze, learn about their amazing vinegar, originating in Italy and passed down thru many generations. At Blue Grouse,taste the products one of the oldest and most highly regarded vineyards on the island. At Averill Creek, tour the winery itself with owner/winemaker. Enjoy an outdoor tasting and gourmet picnic on their gorgeous veranda. Similar tours will be offered year round, but this is one not to miss!
