The DieMahler String Quartet specializes in masterful musical artistry, vibrancy, character, and very deep feeling, leaving no musical path unexplored. Ensemble Pacifica is committed to researching and performing lesser known, but interesting and enjoyable works for smaller ensembles (3-20) that feature winds.
The repertoire is vastly enhanced by inviting other players as guest artists, in this case DieMahler. The Nonets are written for a string quartet and a woodwind quintet together. This combination of winds and strings has the sound of an orchestra with the virtuosity of solo playing resulting in a very satisfying program for the audience and the musicians.
St Mary's Chapel is a beautiful space that compliments this type of music.
