There is disagreement amongst addiction experts as to the cause of addiction. Dr. Alexander will explain his controversial research and conclusions on this subject and will discuss the notion that the flood of addiction is occurring because of our hyper-individualistic, hyper-competitive, frantic and crisis-ridden society. Dr. Alexander states that this makes many people feel socially and culturally isolated, leading to an addictive life style.
Dr. Alexander has explored many aspects of addiction. He received the Sterling Prize for Controversy in 2007 for his research and theories on addiction. He is the author of many literature publications and has authored three books.
