This evening out in Cuban-style is in honour of �El Dia de Rebeldia Nacional� � a Cuban national holiday celebrated with passion every July 26th to commemorate the anniversary of the attack on Moncada Barracks, led by Fidel Castro on July 26, 1953.
Fresh, mint mojitos (rum or virgin) will be served, one each included as part of the Cuban-themed all-inclusive three-course dinner for priced for two at $50. Dinner will be served from 6pm onward. Live Latin music with Zandhunga starts at 7pm.

Zandhunga is a Comox Valley-based Latin ensemble that has toured locally, as well as overseas, sharing their lively blend of salsa, son, cumbia, cha-cha-cha and more.
In addition to paying tribute to legendary Cuban musicians such as Celia Cruz, Miguel Matamoros and Jose Fernandes Diaz (author of the classic composition �Guantanamera�), their repertoire consist of originals as well as classics from several different parts of Latin America.

Listeners in the mood to kick back can do so and relax, letting the rhythms wash over them like a tropical heat wave in the air-conditioned atmosphere of the friendly dining room. Meanwhile, those looking to dance are invited to take to the floor and celebrate in the Cuban tradition.

Performing as a quartet for July 26th, Zandhunga musicians are Oscar Robles Diaz on congas and vocals, Jake Masri on Trumpet and vocals, Kelly Thomas on keyboard and vocals, and Britt Bowman on bass and vocals.
