What does it take for a City to achieve zero waste? This year’s feature film at the Earth Week Film Festival will share the story of a city that is trying to do just that.
Three years ago the mayor of San Francisco pledged to achieve zero waste by 2020. Racing to Zero tracks San Francisco’s waste stream diversion tactics and presents innovative new solutions to waste. This film documents a surprising, engaging and inspiring race to zero.
This event will be hosted by the Youth Action Committee and City of Campbell River at the Tidemark Theatre on Thursday, April 21. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the film begins at 7 p.m.
Admission is by donation, with proceeds going to support student environmental projects.
