This year&rsquo;s feature film at the Earth Week Film Festival will share the story of a city that is trying to do just that.<br /><br />Three years ago the mayor of San Francisco pledged to achieve zero waste by 2020. Racing to Zero tracks San Francisco&rsquo;s waste stream diversion tactics and presents innovative new solutions to waste. This film documents a surprising, engaging and inspiring race to zero.<br /><br />This event will be hosted by the Youth Action Committee and City of Campbell River at the Tidemark Theatre on Thursday, April 21. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the film begins at 7 p.m.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Admission is by donation, with proceeds going to support student environmental projects.</p>=0D=0A=
