It will be held at a café in Courtenay; the owners are offering their space at the upper back section free of charge so please do support their generosity by purchasing a drink and/or snack.

We gather at various locations around the city, for casual cozy conversations about everything related to Death and Dying, accompanied by food and drink. There is nothing to buy or sign up for. Death Café is an international organization which has put on close to 8 thousand Death Cafés since its inception in England in 2011.

The conversations are self-directed at each table, and we ask that you not share stories you hear at D.C. in a way that the speakers involved could be identified by others in order to respect confidentiality.

Feedback from participants in the past reflects an appreciation for the opportunity to talk at a deeper level about the topics, and an interest in trying various venues and times of the week to gather.
