Dads Make a Difference Program

The Dads Make a Difference program is a support system for dads presented by the West Coast Men's Support Society. It takes place every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm (except August). Facilitator(s): Allan Firth, Patrick Bolger & Paul O'Rourke
Program purpose:
- To offer support in developing and sustaining a positive relationship with your children
- To provide information on the importance of Dad’s involvement in raising healthy children
- To offer a support system for Dads
Program objectives:
- To assist Dads in the relationship with their children – from Newborn to Teenager
- To provide information and resources for Dads to be the best Dad they can be!
- To offer a support system for Dads with other Dads
- To promote the positive involvement of Dad’s presence in their children’s lives

- Supporting the development of positive parenting skills
- Exploring the important role discipline plays in your child’s life
- Discussing Fathering and your newborn
- Supporting a healthy relationship to your partner & mother of your child
- Developing skills, strategies and approaches for working Dads vis-a-vis family life
- Exploring how Dads can improve upon their relationship with their partners or ex-partners and extended family
