Cumberland's Victoria Day Long Weekend Celebrations features entertainment and activities for the whole family!

Celebrated in Cumberland since 1888, Victoria Days were originally held to celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday.

Road Closures: Dunsmuir Avenue will be closed on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 7 am to 6 pm for Village Market Day; and on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 8am to 11am for the Victoria Day Parade and Thunderballs event.

Market Day: Vendor registration must be submitted to Elevate the Arts

Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 7 pm

Doors open at 6:30 pm – Fashion Show and Tea at the Cumberland Recreation Centre

Saturday May 18, 2019 from 10 am to 6 pm

10 am to 4 pm: Village Market Day on Dunsmuir Avenue hosted by Elevate the Arts
10 am to 5 pm: Cumberland Museum, 2680 Dunsmuir Avenue open by donation
9:30 am: Soap Box Derby hosted by the Cumberland Masonic Lodge
9 am to 3 pm: Fire Hall open house & BBQ
11:30 am to 6 pm: Beer Garden in Village Park
Noon to 6 pm: Washoe Tournament (adults only) in Village Park with beer garden
Noon: Concession by Cumberland Parent Advisory Committee in Village Park
1 pm: Dog fashion show

Sunday May 19, 2019 at Village Park from 11 am to 8 pm

8 am to 4 pm: Horseshoe mania
11 am: Youth soccer game
Noon: Adult soccer game
Noon to 7 pm: Beer Garden
Noon to 7 pm: Concession by Cumberland Parent Advisory Committee
Noon to 7 pm: Cumberland Table Tennis Club
1 pm: Legends of the Maypole & challenge
1 pm to 3 pm: Family Washoe
1:30 pm – 3 pm: Mayor’s Hole in one Golf Tournament
1:30 pm: Capoeira workshop for all ages
2 pm to 3 pm: Old Timers Soccer Game
2 pm to 6 pm: Comox Valley Disc Golf
5 pm to 8 pm: Live Music

Monday May 20, 2019: Parade and Village Park activities

8 am: Pancake Breakfast at the Royal Canadian Legion on Dunsmuir at Fourth Street
8 am: Pancake Breakfast at the Masonic Hall on Dunsmuir at First Street
9 am: Thunderballs event on Dunsmuir Avenue between First and Second Streets. A fundraiser for Cumberland Community School Society. Find out more.
10 am: 131st annual Victoria Day Parade along Dunsmuir Avenue
10 am to 3 pm at Village Park: 4H Petting Zoo, Bounce a Rama, Fun Swing, train ride and food vendors
11 am: May Queen Crowning
11:30 am: Maypole Dance
Noon to 2 pm: Family Entertainment Stage
Noon: Coal Hills BMX races
1 pm to 2 pm: Children’s Races
11 am to 4 pm: Beer Garden
2 pm: Bicycle draw and raffle draws
