Join us for our rock related weekend at the Courtenay and Parksville's Gem and Mineral Show. This is an annual event that brings together rock hounds, jewelers, artists, fossil hunters and anyone who just loves pretty stones. Space for over 25 vendors with an awesome assortment of displays ranging from local fossils, beads, crystals, stone art, and more. There will be demonstrations, a full kitchen to purchase lunch and snacks, a children's corner with games and crafts to keep entertained. Hourly prizes and a silent auction all for a $2.00 admission at the door. Every year clubs from up and down the Island make and display a showcase with some pretty darn amazing stones, rocks, fossils and art that are set up for the weekend with a chance for each visitor to vote for show favorite. There will be sellers with supplies for rock hounds, slabs for making your own and a wide variety of local artists selling their wares. Come down for a fossil prep demo, see how jewelry is made, have a sandwich or bowl of chili and visit with friends. A great way to spend a few hours on the weekend.
