Compassionate Communication: Speaking and Listening from your Core
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
We all want to relate to people with compassion and respect, while not being pushovers honouring and expressing whats happening for us inside. This is especially true in situations with conflict and uncomfortable emotions.
This course will focus on the tools and approach of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). NVC is a heartfelt way to listen, speak, and live with others, and with the many voices and aspects of ourselves.
Through structured activities using real situations, you will begin to:
Shift from judgments, blame and anger toward curiosity, mutual respect and understanding
Understand the disconnection of win-lose, right-wrong communication
Develop self-compassion and take responsibility for our present moments with deeper insight and openness to possibilities
Express your feelings and needs without blame and criticism
