Celebrate the touch, tastes, and sounds of BC�s best shellfish and seafood products presented by innovative producers and renowned chefs at this stunning oceanside venue at the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park. Learn how to prepare seafood dishes at fun chef demonstrations and taste the creative and diverse shellfish and seafood items at the tasting booths, while interacting with the world class producers. Witness the battle for the title of Best Oyster Shucker in BC, and the Best Chowder Competition. Experience interactive displays including live touch tanks and educational booths that provide insights into the science and importance of the aquaculture industry from a wide range of businesses, educational institutions and suppliers. Enjoy live music featuring Sue Medley and the Back Road Band while tasting our local wines and relaxing in the beer garden.
FUNDRAISER: The event is a fundraiser for the exciting, new training initiative called the Aquaculture Technician Program, at North Island College, which supports a holistic approach to aquaculture training ... from species to systems.
Cooking Demonstrations with Celebrity Chefs
Watch and learn from the best! Nathan Fong, currently celebrating his 24th year on Global BCTV News with his �Saturday Chefs�, is confirmed to head-up the chef line-up this year, and will be on hand with other renowned chefs including Quang Dang, West Restaurant, David Sider, Wickaninnish Inn, and Aaron Rail, Executive Chef in the Comox Valley.

Shuckers throughout BC are invited to register for the Annual Oyster Shucking Championships for the 8th Annual BC Shellfish and Seafood Festival, in the Comox Valley, British Columbia. The Competitions once held at Marina Park, are being moved to the Filberg Lodge in Comox as part of the Comox by the Sea Shellfish and Seafood Industry Celebration.

Annual Chowder Challenge
The annual Chowder Challenge is open to all Comox Valley chefs and cooks who provide food service in their place of business, including restaurants and accommodation providers.
