6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Please join us for our LAST Community Dinner of the year. Travel around the world with the FGCA. Our neighbours (and talented cooks) will share street food from their ancestral homes. Come celebrate diversity within our community through food and culture. Enjoy food from Tamales Don Carlos, Al-Rhaman Samosa King, and the International Women's Catering Co-op.

Speaker and food provider Carlos Guzman (Tamales Don Carlos) will share some stories and insights into his personal experience making traditional Tamales. Want to volunteer? We'd love your help. Please email [email protected]

About the 2017 Community Dinner Series

Fairfield Gonzales Community Association (FGCA) invites you to celebrate community with us. In 2017, FGCA will host monthly community dinners to bring neighbours together in celebration of the diversity that makes our communities thrive. These FREE all ages dinners feature guest speakers, performers, arts and crafts, dialogue, children’s story time, delicious meals and more! All community dinners will be taking place on unceded Coast Salish Territory, specifically of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada's 150th, a collaboration between the Victoria Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast to coast. Our goal is to apply these funds to cultivating conversations about the settler-colonial history of Canada and its ongoing legacy that impacts all communities.
