One day beginners printmaking workshop: Mixed Media Collagraph.
If you are new or new-ish to the world of printmaking, this is a great class to start with! In this workshop you will be introduced to drypoint and collagraph printmaking to create textured plates and go home with a collection of prints as well as a plate.
Topics that will be covered include:
-Building your plate using carving techniques
-Working textures into your plates
-Learning about ways to add a more painterly approach to your work
-Composition
-Ink application
-Printmaking terminology
-Shop maintenance and safety
We will be using non-toxic water based inks and the big press!
Learning outcomes will include: -Better understanding of printmaking -How to work with these particular methods
- How to use our print studio
