The Butchart Gardens' summer festival presents Coastline, a strong blend of traditional and original fiddle tunes.

This open-air concert takes place on the Concert Lawn stage. Come sit on a bench, or bring a blanket and sit on the lawn.

The summer entertainment program is part of your general admission ticket.

About Coastline

Coastline is a string ensemble comprised of 15 of British Columbia�s top young musicians. Coached and mentored by renowned fiddler Ivonne Hernandez, the band was formed this past January. With its 12 fiddles, 2 cellos, and 1 piano, Coastline plays a diverse and exciting mix of tunes from across Canada and from around the world.

Individually, the band members have won many awards and competitions, and together they are a force to be reckoned with. After being together for only a few months, the group won the Large Fiddle Ensemble Award at the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival. They have since gone on to perform at many other venues, including the Victoria International Highland Games and Celtic Festival.
