Brasstastic – an ensemble of five fabulous brass players will be featured in our second public outreach event at the Robert Bateman Centre this summer!
We were so impressed with the outdoor concert they did for us in 2015 that we invited them back! Two trumpets, French horn, trombone and tuba comprise Brasstastic , a quintet of graduates and students from the University of Victoria. Its members strive to use their musical knowledge to engage the public with sounds from all genres.
It’s a great opportunity to hear beautiful music and to see the gallery, and the new exhibit – “Resilience of the People: A visual history of the traditional territory of the Lekwingen/Songhees People”.
The Victoria Summer Music Festival has partnered with the Robert Bateman Centre to present a second summer outreach program for the public and the Centre has generously offered entry by freewill donation for this event from 11:50 am until 12:30. Space is limited.
Give yourself a mid-summer musical break Saturday, July 23!
