A fun-filled, delicious and informative day for families and seafood lovers. Comox By the Sea Celebration showcases seafood producers from across BC at a stunning oceanside heritage park located in Comox Harbour. Enjoy shellfish and seafood tastings prepared by chefs who live and breathe seafood, live music, beer garden, educational displays, live touch-tanks, cooking demos and of course the annual shucking and chowder competitions. The event supports the BC Shellfish Growers Association bursary for North Island College’s aquaculture program in its Centre for Applied Research Technology & Innovation division.
Celebrity Chef Ned Bell, Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver & Chefs for Oceans, will be leading the Chef Demonstrations
Shucker Paddy, Canadian, North American and National Oyster Shucking Champion, will be demonstrating 'How to Shuck an Oyster'
