Autism spectrum disorder has an effect on the entire family including parents, siblings, and grandparents who are faced with unique challenges when their grandchild receives a diagnosis. Whether they live near or far away, grandparents want to help but often don’t know where to begin. The Autism Society of BC Mid-Island Grandparent Support Group provides a place for grandparents to learn about autism, share insights, and find comfort in the knowledge that they are not alone.
The Granparents support group runs on the second Wednesday of each month, except in July and August.
