The Board of Directors of the Georgia Strait Alliance is pleased to invite you to a very special event supporting the protection of our local waters on October 24, 2013.

Join us at the beautiful new Robert Bateman Centre Gallery in Victoria's iconic Inner Harbour for an evening reception featuring distinguished guest speakers and silent auction.

Enjoy cocktails and sustainable seafood appetizers prepared by a local chef and beverages from Vancouver Island Brewery, while you learn more about what you can do to help protect the waters of the Georgia Strait.

Evening highlights include:

- Georgia Strait Alliance Advisory Council Member and Former BC Minister of Environment John Cashore
- Oak Bay - Gordon Head MLA Andrew Weaver
- Victoria - Swan Lake MLA Rob Fleming
- Saanich South MLA Lana Popham

Silent auction items include handcrafted art and jewellery, a night at Taku Resort, water sports gear from Feathercraft, a Discovery Island kayak and hiking tour for two from Ocean River Sports, trips to Seattle with Clipper Vacations, and much more.

Your ticket price will help support the Georgia Strait Alliances work to protect Canada's most at-risk natural environment, and the place where many British Columbians live, work and play. We are committed to a future for our region that includes clean water and air, healthy wild salmon runs, rich marine life and natural areas, and sustainable communities.

A charitable tax receipt will be provided for a portion of the ticket price.
