3rd Annual All Sprung Out Make it! Bake it! Grow it! Market and Workshop Fair
The cold weather is just beginning but I want to take a moment to think about blossoms, new growth, renewal, planning next year's summer harvest and all the wonderful treasures Vancouver Island artists offer.
All Sprung Out is the perfect event to celebrate all the amazing feelings Spring brings. April 26th 2014 9:30am-4pm is when the celebration beings at Parksville Community and Conference Centre. PCCC offers a large centrally located venue with lots of parking. There are lots of new and exciting changes for next year's event including the addition of FREE educational workshops (have 5 speakers booked already) on a variety of topics such as organic gardening (Rebecca Sharp, The Sharp Design Landscape Group), rainwater harvest (RDN), & raw food and healthy meals, How to make raw chocolate workshop (Vida Turok, Rawkolate) and bee keeping/importance of bees in your garden (Fredrich's Honey). The Lockhart Collection will be on stage demonstrating chalk paint application and tips to refinish furniture and much more.
The main focus this year is shop local, support artists and local businesses, DIY and gardening/outdoor living. As for vendors my plan is to have crafters, seed dealers, plants, and bakers in Seaside Auditorium and lobby . Also in Garry Oak/Arbutus Rooms will be dedicated to vintage art, repurposed furniture and treasures. The addition of all these elements and moving to central location will bring a wider variety of guests and vendors too.
Vendor application is set up now on site www.allsprungoutmarket.com deadline will be February 15th 2014. This will give lots of time for pre-promotion.
