A Walk in the Forest Interpretive Walk - Ah'ta'apq Creek

Join Central Westcoast Forest Society Saturday April 23rd from 11am to 12pm for a guided interpretive walk through A Walk in the Forest Trail!
The walk will take you along the scenic trail through both old-growth and second-growth forests. Learn what makes these forests types different, tree and shrub identification, salmon life cycle, and CWFS restoration efforts.
The Ah'ta'apq Creek Restoration Project will be highlighted on this walk. Ah'ta'apq Creek is located in Hot Springs Cove in Hesquiaht. Learn about CWFS's on-going restoration efforts along Ah'ta'apq Creek.
A Walk in the Forest trailhead is located 1k from the junction on the Pacific Rim Highway (Highway 4). On your left if coming from Tofino or Ucluelet. On your right if coming from Port Alberni. Located outside Pacific Rim National Park, this trail is free to use and has free parking.
This interpretive walk is by donation to Central Westcoast Forest Society.
Please make sure to wear weather appropriate clothing as this guided walk will happen in rain or shine.
