The "Logger Sports" event (our heritage sport) depicts the past and present logging practices through entertaining competitions between loggers and is presently the largest in Canada for prize money and number of events. This years show will offer 2 World Championship and 7 Canadian Championships, along with other Open, Intermediate, Novice, ladies Youth and Teen events. International and local loggers will be competing for part of the proposed $32,650.00 prize package and maybe set a Canadian or World record.

Our 2012 Logger Sports Competition was selected to be filmed for TSN and will be aired on their 2012 & 2013 Lumberjack Series. We thank all our sponsors shown on either side for making this possible for without them it would not happen.

For the children and seniors, Salmon Festival provides special areas with events tailored for the enjoyment of all ages. At the children's area, "Thrifty Foods Kids Zone", the young ones can enjoy a wide variety of FREE rides and events.

While taking in the many events offered at the Festival, check out what the local community groups and businesses in Campbell River have to offer at the Community Corner and Trade Show booths, enjoy a snack or a meal and support the non-profit organizations.
