The World Community Film Festival, in its 25th year, is the longest-running social justice film festival held in BC. Every year hundreds of people participate in the festival. Over 25 of the finest documentaries from around the world cover topics including: arts, music, food security, environmental issues, labour, social justice, and human rights. These films are guaranteed to entertain, inform, and inspire our audience.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL VENUES ARE FESTIVAL SEATING.
Seating may be limited due to venue size. Please arrive early to ensure seating, first come first served.

WEEKEND PASS
Valid for the entire festival and all venues.

FRIDAY (OPENING) NIGHT – Begins at 7:30 pm
Valid for the Sid Williams Theatre.
Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, no intermission.
Classification: Parental Guidance, with advisory for coarse and sexual language, scenes of animal slaughter

SATURDAY ALL DAY (including closing film)
Valid at all venues.
Daytime films run 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Closing night film starts at 8:00 pm.

SATURDAY (CLOSING) NIGHT – Begins at 8:00 pm
Valid for the Sid Williams Theatre.
Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, no intermission.
 
FAMILY PROGRAM
Runs Saturday afternoon from 1:15 pm – 2:45 pm in the Lower Sid Williams Theatre (fountain plaza level). FREE for children 12 years and under (accompanied by an adult).

The theme is “Trees and Forests”, with an assortment of short films (each between 3 to 14 minutes in length) and some activities. The films are appropriate for those 6 to 12 years old, but will be enjoyed by all.

The World Community Development Education Society (World Community) is a community of advocates working to foster a greater awareness of the social, economic and environmental consequences of human activity at both the local and global levels.

There may be a limited amount of low income tickets.
Lost or stolen wristbands may not be able to be replaced.
