With thousands of people and BBQ teams from across North America you are sure to have a weekend you will not soon forget. And don�t forget that we will be raising money for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation with a Rib Eating Contest.
Can you think of a better way to spend time with your friends and family and to kick off BBQ season than a weekend in downtown Nanaimo witnessing the first annual NANAIMO BARBECUE FESTIVAL if you�re lucky you might wrangle some tips from the pros to improve your barbecuing game!! There will also be People�s Choice. The public will be given tokens to have a bite sized sample of participating teams. Each token will be $1 and for every 5 tickets sold the �taster� will be given a voting chip. The team with the most chips will People�s Choice. Here is a list of some of the events for the weekend.

Join us at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre during the Nanaimo Barbecue Festival where venders will have the opportunity to feature their products and services to thousands of people. You might find outdoor adventure booths, cooking booths and all things related to summer fun. This is a one of a kind expo in Nanaimo and just one more thing to make the Nanaimo Barbecue Festival even better!
