Yuri's Night World Space Party is a space-themed social evening celebrating Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human in space in April, 1961 -- and Char's birthday! 2017 also marks 150 years of Canadian achievement in science and in space.

Celebrate Char's birthday bash, mix n' mingle with space-themed beverages and snacks, music, videos, costume contest, activities, alien photo ops and more! Entry by donation to the SPCA (suggested $5 or equivalent in pet food, toys (new), or bedding). 100% of gate donations go to Alberni Clayoquot SPCA

Open for cocktails from 5:30 pm. Main event 7:00 - 9:00 pm Birthday cake will be served -- be sure to sign the birthday book! All donations to Alberni Clayoquot SPCA, in honour of the animal astronauts who were the first Earthlings in orbit.

Yuri's Night in Port Alberni is a project of STARFLEET Alberni Deep Space Port Star Trek Fan Association, and sponsored by Char's Landing. Costume ideas? Come as Galileo or another historical figure. Come as Sputnik or an astronaut. Boldly go as a character from Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, etc. No costume? No problem! Come as a hologram of your 21st-century self . . . as you are.
