You are not a Ghost is an exploration of past, relationships, and history (both global and personal) told through performance and asynchronous digital media. It is the story of Tom, a teacher who ghosted his ex, Sylvia, who is about to become his new boss. Through their real time meeting waiting for their HR manager, we learn about their relationship through memories. The more you access a memory, the more it is distorted. So too, in this play, do we play with distortion of history, memory, and our relationship to our past. You Are Not A Ghost is inspired by global travel and how that can allow us to literally move worlds away from our problems and what happens when that space suddenly contracts. www.theatreone.org
