"Yet Shall We Be Merry" is a concert that encapsulates the festive spirit around the holidays! Despite freezing weather and a world that seems less than peaceful, together we find light, celebration, and companionship. From spirituals to pop Christmas classics to new takes on old carols, let the Camerata Singers serenade you with songs of the season. We're excited to collaborate this year with Fiddelium, Vancouver Island's premier young fiddle ensemble!
Fiddelium (pronounced “fid-DELL-ium”) a small group of young musicians who perform in and around Nanaimo. The music they play is mostly traditional fiddle music, but with an interesting twist. Their arrangements are groovy and high-energy, and are created especially for them by directors Geoff and Trish Horrocks.
The Camerata Singers is a fun and energetic community choir for men and women. They sing many kinds of music, including classical, folk, spiritual, and pop. Each year they have a Christmas concert and a spring concert in May based around a theme, and often feature guest performers from the community.
