When Brian takes up jogging, his wife Hilary is overjoyed. But instead of jogging, Brian is spending a couple of hours with his girlfriend, Wendy, at the flat of his good friend George. This arrangement works wonderfully for some time, because while Brian is with Wendy, George knows there is no danger of his being caught at Brian’s flat with Brian’s wife, Hilary! The good times come to an abrupt end, however, when George’s wife Jessica arrives home a day early from the United States and finds her flat occupied by Brian and Wendy. Thinking fast, Brian claims that Wendy is a Red Cross nurse who rescued him from a jogging accident, but Jessica is still suspicious. This modern comedy by the Master of British Farce is a sure guarantee of a hilariously delightful evening in the theatre.
