YellowPoint Drama Group presents its Fall 2017 Production ALTERATIONS, by Leigh Curran.
A dramatic comedy, the play follows one family as they adapt to the inevitable stages of life. Comprised of three generations of women, all living in the same home, Erica, a costume designer, is in the middle of it all, caught between the needs of her aging mother and her teenaged daughter. Add in her husband — from whom she is recently separated and who still hopes for reconciliation—and you have the makings of a rich and complex play, generously laced with comedy.
“Over the last generation or two, women’s roles and relationships between men and women have changed so much,” says director Pat Zogar. “However, the big challenges we all face in life remain the same.” “We’re excited about doing this play,” says producer Armando Dos Santos. “It’s a deep play that asks important questions—yet it’s very funny too.
” The five-member cast includes YPDG veterans Joanne Rowland, Maureen Molyneaux-Watt and Alan Watt, plus newcomers Katrina Basnett and Heather Haseltine.
All performances are at 7:30pm on October 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 with an additional matinee at 2PM on October 21st.
