Yellow Point Drama Group’s (YPDG) spring play Buying the Moose
The trouble begins when Betty comes home much earlier than planned and is surprised to hear loud waltz music playing. When she sees what her husband is doing in the living room, she gets the shock of her life and walks out after Rob’s failed explanation. Attempts to help by family members, Greg and Cheryl, result in wildly unintended consequences.
The play offers rollicking fun based on astute observations on the differences between how men and women think and the resulting miscommunication between the sexes. Before all the problems are resolved, secrets that the characters would have preferred remain private are revealed, and the audience learns the meaning of Buying the Moose.
