NIC�s Write Here Readers Series is pleased to present Sharon Butala, author of sixteen books of fiction and non-fiction, numerous essays and short stories, and five produced plays.
Butala's work speaks to the collision of geography and spirituality, blending myth and truth with the Canadian landscapes that she loves. Always interested in the stories of women, she endeavors to represent new viewpoints as she reinterprets western society, and her stories don't hesitate to use the brutal, the unpleasant, or the shocking to peel away the layers of rural life. www.sharonbutala.com
Butala will present her work at the NIC Theatre, Campbell River campus, on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 pm. The reading is free to attend and open to the community.
