Join NIC staff and students for an evening of literature with Victoria poet and novelist Arleen Par� on Oct. 28th, 2013 at the Stan Hagen Theatre, Comox Valley campus. The reading begins at 7:30 pm and is free for all members of the public to attend.

Arleen Par�'s first book, Paper Trail, was nominated for the Dorothy Livesay BC Book Award for Poetry and won the Victoria Butler Book Prize in 2008.

Her new novel, Leaving Now, was released in 2012 by Caitlin Press. Her third book, a collection of poetry called Lake of Two Mountains, is forthcoming from Brick Books in 2014. Originally from Montreal, Par� lived in Vancouver for many years, where she worked as a social worker in community mental health.
