Set in 1962, Green Book is inspired by the true story of a tour made of the Deep South by African American pianist Don Shirley. Accompanied by his driver and bodyguard, Italian American Frank Vallelonga, the two rely on The Negro Motorist Green Book to find safe spaces as they navigate the intense lines of segregation that pervade the South.
